A wonderful piece of theatre this is. Condensing three of Shakespeare's plays into a single 6-hour production, ‘Roman Tragedies’ explores the nature of politics and poiticians. With director Ivo van Hove and music man Eric Sleichim (BL!INDMAN), I joined the project as musical assistant and was very happy to also end up doing quite a bit of the sound design for the production.

An unusual set enabled members of the audience to sit on stage during the performance in one of the sofas placed on stage. You could see the actors in person or look at them via the many TV monitors. There was a bar selling food and drinks on stage and an Internet station that people could use during the set changes. An intense experience that convincingly shows the power and possibilities of modern theatre.
