A one-person machine that generates a visual fade-in and fade-out of the surrounding environment. Straps positioned around the spectator’s head slowly open and close as the speed of the cylinder changes, continuously modulating perception as the surrounding space fades in and out, shifting between full visibility and darkness.

Behind The Horizon

A straight tube measuring 11.3 kilometres in length was held by 240 people on the beach of Ostend. While the centre rested on the sand, both ends were elevated 230 cm above the ground, visualising the curvature of the earth.

FIrst Disturbance

40 tons of undisturbed earth, community of volunteers and neighbours.

Forty tons of undisturbed earth were excavated at the historical center of the city of Leuven (Belgium). With this earth and the assistance of 120 volunteers, a tower was constructed, serving as an observatium to look at the sky.
